On the 4th March 2011 Street kids Fest was organized in association with Y’s Men’s Club Bangalore, Metro for over 300 street children from different areas. The programme started at 10:30AM at City YMCA Ground. This unique programme started with an Invocation song by Mr. Leo Prakash, YMCA CIC. Welcome & Introduction of the guests by Mr. Daniel Rathnakar. J, Related Secretary YMCA Bangalore.
The Kids Fest was inaugurated by Dr. P. Sethu, Chairman, Task group of SADWI, YMCA Bangalore, Mr.Ramesh Halabhavi, Deputy Director, Dept. of Women Child Development, Govt. of Karnataka, Ysm. P. U. Raju, President, Y’s Men’s Club Bangalore, Metro, and Mr. S. V. Rathna Kumar, General Secretary, YMCA joined him by beating the drums and inaugurating. All the Guests were greeted with a bouquet and a memento.
The Kids fest started at 11:00 AM with Sports like Running Race, Long Jump, Sack Race, Frog Race, Throwing the ball. There were around 20 fun games for other children, the winners were distributed with prizes on the spot. Fellowship lunch was at 01:00 PM all the children were fed with hygiene and rich food. After lunch the Fest resumed with Cultural programmes like Group Dance, Solo Dance, and Singing competition.

The programme concluded with the prize distribution for the winners of the Cultural. The prizes were distributed by Dr. Maleques. A, Principal, YMCA College of Physical Education and Mr. Daniel Rathnakar. J, Related Secretary. The vote of thanks was by Mr. Selavaraj, Programme Coordinator, CIC.
YMCA Bangalore, heartily thanks Ysm. P. U. Raju, President, Y’s Men’s Club Bangalore, Metro & Members of Y’s Men’s Club Bangalore, Metro for supporting YMCA to organize this unique programme. We also thank Mr. Prashant Kamdar & his friends for sponsoring Lunch for 300 children on the fest day. There was wide coverage by the Media like around 10 news papers of different languages published this unique programme and TV Channels like TV9, News9, Suvarna & In Bangalore telecasted the programme.
