Model Lok Sabha  Programme 2010

On Saturday, the 4th December 2010 at State Youth Centre, Samelana Sabanga Hall, Nrupathunga Road, the Model Lok Sabha Programme was conducted.

The function was inaugurated by Hon’ble. Shri. N. L Narendra Babu, Member of Legislative Assembly, Rajajinagara Constituency, Government of Karnataka was the Chief Guest and addressed the students highlighting the importance of functioning Political system in the state and centre, further he advised the students to take up politics as their career and create a platform based on justice, equality, non corruption a fair and transparent political system which will benefit our poor, marginalized people of this society. Ln. Srinivas Murthy, President, Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Bangalore was the Guest of Honour, Rtn. M. N. Suresh, District Governor, RI. Dist 3190 presided over the programme and Mr. S. V. Rathna Kumar, General Secretary, YMCA Bangalore graced the occasion. The Inaugural function followed by the real secessions demonstrated by the participants discussing the various social economic and political issues like dowry deaths, harassments for women at work place, rapes etc. are thoroughly discussed in this sessions. 

Evening the Valedictory & the Prize Distribution Function was held the Chief Guests were Dr. J. Alexander (I.A.S. Retd.)President YMCA Bangalore & Former Chief Secretary, Former Cabinet Minister, Govt. of Karnataka and Dr. Mahesh Joshi, Director, Doordarshan Kendra, Bangalore presided over the function. Col. R. V. Subramaniam (Retd.) Director Youth Service. - RI. Dist.3190 graced the occasion.

At this function the teams were given trophies, individual trophies and participant’s certificates for all the participants.  Nearly 150 students were benefited by this programme. Our sincere thanks to Rotary, Peenya Bangalore, Mr. Praveen Ranka, Bangalore, Corporation Bank, Nrupathunga Road, Bangalore, Mr. Nikhil Tiwari for sponsoring this programme and also we thank Mr. Harish, Advocate committed and dedicated  member of YMCA who trained the students within three weeks by inspiring and furnishing all the related materials for taking the sessions.
